About Us
"Sport has the power to unite people in a way little else can. It breaks down racial barriers, it laughs in the face of all kinds of discrimination. Sport speaks to people in a language they can understand."
Nelson Mandela
Since 2002, the King’s Foundation has been working with disadvantaged communities in Botswana with the primary purpose of developing individuals and organisations that work with children, train and develop local volunteers in sports leadership and make a difference to the lives of children in need. We aim to transform individuals and communities by developing sustainable programmes run by indigenous people and we look to partner with individuals, churches and organizations that share our values.
King’s believe that relationships are at the heart of all good communities and so we use sport, innovative games, activities and learning processes to demonstrate this and to deliver high quality sports programmes. We invest in the emotional and spiritual development of young people through biblically based life-skills activities.
